Ursula basically started as a tribute to the early BMW R50/2 & 60/2 motorcycles of the sixties. With long sloping frames and comfortable upright seating position, the early BMW’s always had a great stance in my opinion. The early bikes were however very underpowered and their braking ability was not much better. Our goal was to make a comfortable bobber style hardtail that could easily go 100mph and then safely stop without your life flashing before your eyes. (we are happy to say it does both of these.) With the final build weighing only two thirds of a stock RS, there is no lack of acceleration.

We started with an early 80’s R100RS motor with approx. 76hp and completely rebuilt it crank to carbs. Around the motor we built the hardtail frame from heavy wall DOM tubing, fabricated a leaf spring front suspension and designed a fully adjustable spring cushion solo seat to offset the stiffness of the hardtail. Everything was built in house from the foot pegs to the handle bars, exhaust to the gas tank. To make the bike even more updated and user friendly we incorporated Motogadget all digital electronics and discreetly hid all wires within the frame and handlebars. The modified early 50’s Ford green and black along with raw brass detailing add a final bit of nostalgia. Ursula has exceptional road manners and is a real joy to ride.
